What to expect
A fireworks festival with an industrial backstory. Pohang calls itself the city of fire and light, a nod to the steelworks that grew up here, and the festival turns that into a three-night event around Yeongildae Beach. What the format has been. Information we found for last year’s edition lists an international fireworks show with teams from Korea, Canada and Italy, a drone light show, a ‘Light Art Way’, a street parade and daily fireworks. The 2026 programme was still being updated when we checked, so we cannot say which of these return. Don’t mix it up with a nearby event.
