K-Pop locations in Jeju tend to sit on ground that was already famous. The clearest case is a lone sea stack in Seogwipo: BTS shot an album jacket there in the mid-2010s, decades after it had already become one of Korean television’s most recognizable backdrops. Jeju’s coast didn’t start working with K-pop — K-pop just found a coast that had been doing this since before it existed.

Oedolgae — one of the oldest K-pop locations in Jeju

Hwangwuchi Beach — and the other beach with almost the same name
